Major major kudos to you with that Robert Ashley pick. i’d probably pick that too if it wasn’t an album itself. Seriously though, listing all time favourite songs is hard enough, but listing them in order of preference is just downright impossible for me.

Here are some tunes that are very important to me:

  • Leonard Cohen - Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye
  • The Velvet Underground - I’m Set Free
  • The Beach Boys - Surf’s Up
  • John Fahey - In Christ There Is No East or West
  • The Paris Sisters - Can’t Help Falling in Love
  • Belle & Sebastian - The State I Am In
  • Swans - The Sound
  • DJ Shadow - Midnight in a Perfect World
  • The Tammys - Egyptian Shumba
  • Francoise Hardy - Ou va la chance
  • Felt - Evergreen Dazed
  • Girls - Solitude
  • Beach House - Heart of Chambers
  • Angel Olsen - Lonely Universe
  • Spiritualized - So Long You Pretty Thing
  • MGMT - Siberian Breaks (duh)
