great idea but i cant help but think that individual tastes might encourage trolling and putting some meme or whatever bullshit on a release

Instead of risking trolling perhaps it would be best to use an external database like MusicBrainz to fetch album art.

The day has finally comeā€¦users now have the ability to add covers to albums!

Look for the ā€œAdd Coverā€ link below blank covers like this:

The site then searches iTunes for a matching album. If the correct album comes up, just click on it and the cover will be added. Otherwise you are given the option to upload an image from your computer.

Please let me know if you find any bugs or have any questions.

But the date it still messed up on some album even if you add a coverā€¦ Itā€™s displayed as 0000

such a simple yet fantastic tool youā€™ve finally made for adding cover arts. great job, dude

edit: like mcnighty said, i hope there will be a way to edit info thatā€™s wrong soon - i already messed up something with this new add cover art feature

Thereā€™s a field where the date is to be entered when adding an album, it doesnā€™t automatically pull that in after.

Next up will be a corrections feature. Iā€™m still hesitant to open up full Wikipedia like editing.

recently when iā€™ve been trying to add covers the one recommended by the site is usually zoomed in too far. it hasnā€™t been a problem, because when this happens i upload the correct cover, but it might be worth looking at. love this feature tho.

Which browser are you using? I canā€™t seem to replicate this immediately. Here is what I see for this link:

Iā€™m using safari. Hereā€™s an example, as you can see the entire word ā€˜HOOPSā€™ isnā€™t visible because itā€™s just zoomed in too far.

Turns out this was affecting me as well, but I just wasnā€™t noticing it. Itā€™s now been fixed, thanks for pointing it out.
