It’s through published year end lists! All of these critic lists have specific points to give out, and each album’s placement on said lists awards them a set amount of points per their placements!
Currently ‘BRAT’ is in the lead because it has 3 #1 placements on published year-end lists and multiple other high placements!
The whole point is that whichever album appears on the most lists appropriately should be ranked #1 by the end of the year.
